Book a Complimentary Initial Security Review.

A focused, evidence-based discussion tailored to your security environment. We will review your current systems, known challenges and future priorities, then identify immediate concerns and practical next steps.

Designed for complex and multi-site organisations—with no requirement to replace existing technology or immediately change providers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the risk of moving to BC Security?

Changing providers does not need to mean replacing systems or disrupting operations. We begin by validating your existing technology, documentation and service requirements, then develop a controlled transition plan that protects service continuity and retains your existing investment wherever practical.

What happens to the knowledge held by our current provider?

We do not assume that all system knowledge has been properly documented or transferred. We gather available drawings, configurations, credentials, service history and known issues, then validate that information against the installed environment.

Where documentation is incomplete, we progressively rebuild the knowledge through system reviews, configuration checks and site validation. Critical information is then documented and centralised, reducing reliance on knowledge held by one technician or provider.

Will we need to replace our existing security systems?

Not necessarily. Our approach is technology-agnostic. We assess what is working, what presents risk and what can continue to be supported. Equipment is only recommended for replacement where there is a clear operational, security, compliance or commercial reason.

How do we know if our security systems are out of date?

We review software and firmware versions, operating systems, hardware age, manufacturer support status and connected system dependencies.

We also identify unsupported components, missing updates, recurring faults and known compatibility or cyber risks. This provides a clear view of what remains supported, what requires monitoring and what should be planned for upgrade or replacement.

What are the risks of upgrading?

Security system upgrades can introduce downtime, compatibility issues, integration failures or changes to existing functionality if they are not properly planned.

Before upgrading, we review hardware compatibility, system dependencies, integrations, database requirements and operational constraints. Upgrades can then be tested, scheduled through controlled change management, backed up and supported by a rollback plan where appropriate.

The objective is not to upgrade simply because a newer version exists. We recommend upgrades where there is a clear security, support, reliability or operational reason, with the risks understood and controlled.

Can we transition gradually?

Yes. We can begin with a specific site, system or area of responsibility and expand over time. This provides a lower-risk way to assess our service, reporting and capability before making a broader change.

How does proactive security management fit within our budget?

Recommendations are prioritised according to operational risk, compliance, asset condition and available budget. Immediate risks can be addressed first, while maintenance, software upgrades and future replacements are planned across manageable timeframes.

The objective is not to replace everything at once. It is to provide a clear, evidence-based plan that reduces unexpected costs and makes future investment easier to forecast.

How can BC Security reduce our ongoing security costs?

Remote diagnostics, preventative maintenance and better asset visibility reduce unnecessary technician visits and unexpected failures.

We also identify recurring faults, ageing equipment and system dependencies early, allowing work to be planned rather than funded reactively.

Why choose BC Security instead of a traditional installer?

BC Security remains accountable beyond the initial project. We combine system design, installation, remote support, preventative maintenance, compliance, software management and lifecycle planning to manage security systems as long-term business assets.

Our approach is proven across complex, operational and multi-site environments, supported by measurable response, resolution and remote-servicing performance.

Can you work with our existing internal teams and providers?

Yes. We can work alongside security, property, facilities, IT and procurement teams, as well as existing contractors.

Responsibilities can be clearly defined, allowing BC Security to support specific systems or gradually take on broader management.

Still assessing the risk, budget or best way forward?

An initial security review provides a clearer understanding of your current environment, existing knowledge gaps, software and hardware risks, immediate priorities and practical next steps—without requiring an immediate provider change.
