Nx Witness
A lightweight video platform that does more with less hardware. We deploy Nx Witness where server footprint, bandwidth or remote-site constraints make a heavier VMS the wrong answer.

What Nx Witness is
Nx Witness is built by Network Optix, an American company, and it takes a deliberately different approach to most enterprise video platforms.
Where the established VMS products have grown broad and heavy over two decades, Nx Witness is built around speed and a small footprint — it runs well on modest hardware, starts fast, and its web and mobile clients are genuinely usable rather than an afterthought. That makes it a strong fit for distributed estates: many small sites, constrained bandwidth, limited local server capacity, and operators who need to check a camera from a phone without launching a workstation client.
It is not the answer for every deployment. Where an organisation needs deep third-party integration and federated architecture across hundreds of servers, XProtect is usually the better specification — and we’ll say so.

Choosing between platforms
If you’re specifying video for a new estate, the honest starting question is how many sites, how much bandwidth, and what the video needs to talk to. Those three answers usually decide the platform before anyone looks at a feature list. We’ll give you that assessment before a quote, not after.
